A full- time teaching-oriented position in Human Resource Management at Associate or Full professor level

THE POSITION

emlyon business school invites applications for a teaching-oriented position in Human Resource Management. Applications are invited from highly motivated candidates with proven research and teaching excellence in Human Resource Management (HRM). The appointment begins September 2 , 2019.

The selected candidate will be attached and collaborate with our existing team of professors and researchers in the Department of Law, Management and Social Sciences to grow and extend our research and teaching in HRM, Organizational Behavior and related topics.

Teaching opportunities will be mostly at the undergraduate level (BBA), graduate level (Programme Grande Ecole), with some opportunities at the master's and executive levels. Responsibilities for this position include capabilities to design, manage and deliver courses in the aforementioned areas. Teaching will be delivered mainly at our new campus in Gerland in Lyon but can also be delivered on the school's other campuses.

JOB REQUIREMENTS


We are looking for candidates with the following characteristics:

  • Ph.D. / doctorate degree in Human Resource Management or related area.
  • Proven teaching experience in HRM and/or related subjects such as Strategic HRM
  • Fluency and teaching experience in both English and French is required
  • Proven capacity to take on courses' pedagogical responsibilities, including the ability to manage a portfolio of external lecturers.
  • Ability to publish intellectual contributions targeting practitioners and students (cases, articles, books, blogs etc.)
  • Desire to actively engage in all areas of our school's faculty life
  • Energy, dynamism, and demonstrated personal/professional ethical values

The candidate will be expected to contribute to and will be regularly evaluated based on three areas of activities: (1) teaching and student supervision, (2) research & intellectual contributions, and (3) institutional service (e.g., administration, service in committees, representation of the school in the media and events).
