Professeur en Stratégie -orientation prospective
emlyon business school is looking for an assistant/associate professor in strategic management with strong orientation towards history and/or foresight areas. More precisely, we are searching for a candidate whose research and teaching are around strategy with relation to how organizations conceptualize and link past, present and future in navigating local, global and/or non-market environments.
The candidate is willing to contribute and participate in collaborative research projects and associated teaching in and around strategic foresight and related topics with other members of the Strategy & Organization (S&O) department. The candidate will teach in different programs, from our bachelor to masters programs and executive education across our different campuses in France (Lyon, Paris and Saint-Etienne). The S&O department is comprised of scholars with a diverse set of backgrounds and interests, mostly in Strategic Management and Organization Theory. We are a vibrant research and teaching department having tight contacts with different kinds of organizations and regular publications in top journals.

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications in line with their level of application:
- PhD / doctorate degree in strategy and organization with a specialization in history and/or prospective
- Evidence of excellent teaching achievements in English at different levels. The mastery of French is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Willingness to develop courses and executive education
- A strong research orientation and publication pipeline in the related top management journals
- Willingness to develop professional diffusion, ability to merge theoretical knowledge with practical relevance, to build and manage relationships with practitioners (e.g., company-oriented research projects)
- Desire to collaborate in a collegial and dynamic department
The candidate will be expected to contribute to and is regularly evaluated based on three areas of activities: (1) research performance, 2) teaching and student supervision, and (3) institutional service (e.g., administration, service in committees, representation of the school in the media and events).

The position involves teaching in English at all levels. Speaking French is not a requirement but holding French basic notions will be a strong asset. For non-French professors, basic language support is offered at the school.
