Two open rank positions (assistant, associate or full professor levels) in corporate finance

THE POSITION

emlyon business school solicits applications for two positions with a primary focus on research  in corporate finance (open rank), starting September 2021. The recruitment process starts immediately and lasts until the positions are filled.

We are seeking highly motivated candidates that demonstrate excellent research and teaching quality. Candidates will generate a steady research output, collaborate with the current research team and contribute to its further development. The available teaching opportunities are at the undergraduate, master, and executive levels. The teaching load depends on the research output of the candidate. Salary and conditions are competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Fluency in English is required. Speaking French is not a requirement but holding basic notions will in French is an asset. For non-French professors, basic language support is offered at emlyon.

The position is on our main campus in Ecully (France). Accordingly, the selected candidate is expected to relocate to Lyon or nearby area. emlyon has set-up a relocation policy to support the moving process.

JOB REQUIREMENTS 

We are looking for candidates who meet the following criteria:

  1. A PhD in Finance field (or close to completion)
  2. A proven track record in research or a potential for conducting high quality research and publishing in top finance journals
  3. A relevant international network
  4. A team player with good communication skills
