A part time position (4/5) in Law at Associate professor level.
THE POSITION
To participate to the development of its programs, emlyon business school is seeking highly motivated candidates, who demonstrate pedagogical excellence in International Business Law, Company Law and Tax Law. Applications are invited at associate professor level, primary focus on teaching, beginning part time on August 21st, 2023.
The selected candidate is expected to teach in French as well as in English. Teaching opportunities will be mostly focused on the undergraduate level (BBA) and, on postgraduate level at masters (PGE and International master's degrees) and executive levels. Responsibilities for this position include capabilities to design and manage courses in International Business Law, Company Law and Tax Law (an introductory course on Business taxation) and coordinate a network of professional lecturers. Conducting communications in professional and/or academic journals is another important requirement of this position.
The selected candidate will closely collaborate with our existing team of professors and researchers in the Law, Management and Social Sciences Department.
Teaching will be delivered principally in Lyon and Saint-Etienne campuses but can also be delivered in Paris campus.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications in line with their level of application:
- Phd / doctorate degree in Law
- a research orientation, demonstrated by capacity to publish in the law journals (e.g., Semaine Juridique - Entreprises)
- ability to merge theoretical knowledge with practical relevance and to build and manage strong relationships with practitioners
- evidence of excellent teaching achievements in English and French at different levels (undergraduate, masters)
- proven teaching experience in International Business Law, French Business Law, Company Law courses and an introductory course on Business taxation
- desire to collaborate in a collegial pedagogical team
- willingness to travel among our other French campuses (St. Etienne and Paris)
The candidate will be expected to contribute to and is regularly evaluated based on three areas of activities: (1) research performance, 2) teaching and student supervision, and (3) institutional service (e.g. service in committees, participation in the school's graduation juries, representation of the school in the media and events).
